HITS is missing

4500/3400/430W GPS. Latest s/w and maps for both. On the outbound flights this past weekend the HITS worked fine but my Winds data was missing 95% of the time, even when straight and level in smooth air on autopilot. I run with my 3400 providing map and course data and also lost the Direct To colored line. On the return flight wind data was still only occasional, but the HITS boxes were completely gone, both legs but the Direct To line came back on the 3400. Tried cycling through HITS, HITS/FD and FD off and on, no change. Changed Direct Tos many times. Tried shifting to my Bendix GPS, same results. Everything else, Flight Director, compass card, etc., worked fine, just no HITS. I could get the course line if I used the Map Direct To, just not GPS1. Are these related or separate problems?

sounds like the arinc isn't working. i have a similar setup but 2 4500s and 1 3400.
hits and the line need to come from the 430w and it seems if you have lost the 430w info. this would also explain no winds.

With a 430W and ARINC module you should not have a GPS1 option, it should be GNAV1. Send a picture of your calibration serial port settings from both screens to Info@advanced-flight-systems.com
