If you familiar with a bit of sheet metal work mounting the brackets onto the tubing is a doddle.
I must say I really am impressed with the Trio Gold Servos and AP
Really classy Autopilot

Fitting a Trio Pro Pilot as a stand alone:)
So I take it that I need the ARINC module.
I am looking at the Vizion 385 from Trutrak which needs the ARINC
I have the 3400 without the synthetic vision so i assume it is just a 3400.
Flying a Glasair Sportsman
I also do not have moving map.
I am looking for the most basic reliable 2 axis...
thnaks Rob for that Info.
What a pleasure ,,... now i can see the attitude clearly:)
Hi Rob,
I am referrring to the Flight Path Marker (FPM)
Below it there are two triangles that point to the FPM that indicate the pitch above or below the horizon.
I like to look at those two...
I do not have a gps connected to my EFIS.
My question is that the FPM actually gets in the way of the two delta pointers and obscures my vision of the pointers while i am doing instrument training...
Fiddling around i found it is possible to manually correct the compass by adjusting the offset.
Is there any way that my OAT gauge could be reading faulty?
It seems to be out by about 5 degrees.
Is ther a calibration setting on the EFIS?
Can you pleasee explain how i can fix my magnetic heading as it is definitley out when compared to my compass and Garmin as well as runway heading.
It is out by about 12 degrees
Hi Thanks for that now it all makes perfect sense
Okay now its all making sense.
what exactly does the number indicate?
How do the white lines work.
Do they only appear once it has peaked and can you see what degree lean of peak you are immediately or do you have to manually subtract the two temps?
Hows the weather doing?
Has the sun come out yet?
Just remember to do this afteer changing the battery otherwise you will have issues
Did you do a "Set Defaults" after installing a new clock battery.
From the ADMIN Calibration menu:
23....
My 3500 had a normal clock battery round flat type and it was not rechargeable.
My tech says i should change it every 3 years as a precautionary!!
No i did not change the internal backup battery.
I just changed the clock battery
My one did not last more than 4 years
Thanks Rob.
I have had the unit out toreplace the battery.
Now when i try and page thru the various pages i get LOADING and it will not page?
Any ideas?
Took the unit out and found the battery on the back of the unit and replaced the battery and now all good.
Very stoked
I have the 3500 with no mapping.
what is needed to fit the maps?
What is needed to fit the Autopilot and can i hook it up with the Garmin 296 if necessary?
When is the video coming
Sorry I do have synthetic vision but just don't have 3D
Also don't have gps but I have backup battery
The clock looses time badly
Any ideas how to rectify this?
Thanks Rob
Merry Christmas
