Waypoint Capability with the AFS 5600

    Hi Folks

I am just getting the AFs 5600 working on my airplane & have a question about waypoints. I reviewed the section for flight planning & see that you can INSERT a waypoint in a flight plan. What I was wondering if you can make & save a waypoint which stays permanently in the EFIS software.

For example, I may have grass strip that I like to go in & out of on occasion but it is not in the database. Can I make & save a waypoint permanently with the 5600?

Would appreciate you thoughts on this.

    Brian,

We do have plans to allow custom user waypoints but it is not ready at this time. You may, however, include custom waypoints in route files created on your computer (*.GPX format) and then import them from the SD card using the FPL->FILE menu.

    Hi Folks

Can anyone point me in the right direction so that I can create custom waypoints in route files in *.GPX format?

    Thanks

    Brian
