Thread: Current sinking output?

    Current sinking output?

Has AFS ever considered adding to their software an ability to have an output that could by a code entered enable a pin to sink current to drive a start switch relay for example? Similar to what Vertical Power had in one of their models?

There is a current sinking output in the EFIS, it is used to drive the warning light. Are you wanting to use the EFIS to start the engine?

Yes was looking for a way if possible via code to start the engine via Efis and start switch/lv relay. But more specifically to use a 4 digit code as VP did with the VP200? I believe. Would parallel a key switch as backup, maybe.

Is this something possible through afs or would iit have to be through vp?

Not enough demand to do special software to start the engine from the EFIS, it also sounds somewhat dangerous.

We did get a really good buy on Key Ignition switches that we will sell at a discount, $80 each with baggage lock.
