Thread: Can traffic be turned on and off?

Can traffic be turned on and off?

I am still in the process of learning the 4500 menus. Currently traffic is being displayed on my GNS480, but is not showing up on the AFS4500. The GTX330 is receiving the ICARUS input from the AFS4500 and I think everything is wired properly. Before I pull things apart to verify wiring, am I missing a menu somewhere that turns traffic on and off (couldn't explicitly find this in the manual)?

    Thanks,
    Bill Rogers

    Bill,
I see traffic on my 4500 map and 430 but not on the EFIS??

Bill, you should have the TIS output from the GTX-300 wired to Serial #2 RX on the EFIS. Also verify Serial #2 is setup as TRFC/ICARUS in Instrument Calibration. If you have that setup and wired correctly, you should be receiving traffic.

Checked it out tonight and my GTX 330 output serial stream was configured wrong. Reconfigured so it should work now.
