Unexpected amp load indication on E buss

Using AFS 3400 with main and essential busses, 2 batt's and 2 alternators. Shunt sensor for main buss and Hall effect for essential buss. Volt 1 and 2 are identical (12.5 V) with both batteries hooked in or with just main battery despite isolating diodes. Amps indicates zero on main buss and 5 amps on E-buss, even though no loads are turned on except the EFIS (which has power supplied from both busses). We can't understand the 5 amp load on e-buss and none (zero) on main buss. Is there an obvious cause such as calibration menu errors etc? Trying to correct before installing fwd fuselage top skin on our RV-8. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Bill,

Is this with the engine running? 0 amps would be correct if the alternator is not generating any power.
