    ILS needle

    Rob,
I flew an ILS approach yesterday and the needle seemed to move a bit erradically jumping a small amount to the left then centering and this continued through the approach. My safety pilot said I was right on visually. Any ideas what to check?

We are only displaying what the radio is sending; if it is jumping it is because the radio is sending it that way. I have noticed in my RV-10 that the HID lights will interfere with the ILS signal and cause it to jump in and out. If I turn off the HID lights it never has an issue.

    Rob,
I did have my HID and pulse lights on and had the problem. I
    will check again without them.
