Dimmer - recovery from previous night flight

After a night flight with a very low dimmer setting (0 or 10) on the display, I try to remember to reset the dimmer to a high setting before shutdown. If I forget, its very difficult or impossible to read the screen at the next daytime startup. Most recently, I had to trial and error the push/turn adjustments until I hit the dimmer. Messy.

Am I missing something that might "auto reset" the dimmer to, say, 50 after a restart? I found nothing about this on the forum. Could that be incorporated into software sometime?

    Thanks, Mike

We could change the software to always boot on full brightness; the right button always turns the right knob to dim.

    Right button does the trick

Thank you Rob. The solution is there, I just did not find it.
Press the right button, and adjust brightness up with the knob.
I didn't want to bother you with a call, and yet you got the answer before anyone else. I appreciate it.

    Rob,
This is the second undocumented use of button 5. 1-makes right knob the dimmer. 2-press and hold does a screen capture (assuming to the sd card).
Any chance in getting these features documented in the printed documentation?

Be very careful with the screen capture, it is not documented because we really did not intend it to be a user feature.
The screen capture will make the EFIS stop updating the display while it saves the image.
