Autopilot does not go into EFIS mode

My autopilot has been working fine to track the GPS course and hold bug altitude in EFIS mode until recently. With both my 3400 and 4500 set to LAT NAV and VER ALT the AP button will not show EFIS and track the selected course when pressed. Works fine on AP to hold selected altitude and selected heading but can't get it into EFIS mode, simply stays in AP when I press the button to try to get it into EFIS mode. Ideas?

Correction - pressing the EFIS button will not put it in EFIS mode.

Sounds like it is not getting ARINC, are you sure your ARINC module is powered up? Take the cover off it and make sure the LED is on

Thanks, will verify. Was able to switch the AP from getting guidance direct from the 430W to getting it instead from the EFIS and it works. Maybe it's passing through the EFIS and the ARINC is OK? I'm not the builder so not sure of the ARINC and how it fits into the signal routing. Sure am learning, tho.
