Autopilot power question

I was wondering why the ACM manual warns to turn the autopilot power switch on before the master switch. I?ve been turning mine on and off random as needed. Can I damage something or cause issues?

Will not hurt anything, but it's possible for the servos to not be available when you want to use them if you have the switch powered off at system startup. The servos need power always available so they can be visible on the SkyView Network, this is why we advise you to leave the power switch on all the time. Really, it's an emergency disconnect. Leave it on and use the other options; AP/CWS button on the stick, AP button on the SV-AP-PANEL, controls on the EFIS, etc. when you actually want to engage and use the autopilot.
