I know the XM weather and terrain map are not yet working on the 4500's. (Hopefully soon.) Is the Zaon XRX traffic input display functioning? Is it shared (displayed on both) when two 4500s are networked?

The XRX interface does indeed work. You will want to connect it to serial port 2 on the EFIS and set the XRX to Garmin output data format. It will display the traffic on multiple units if networked.
Excellent. Thanks!
Huh???
Since when is XM weather not working on the 4500?
Is this really true? Since Trevor did not correct this statement it must be true, no?!
If it is, what weather options are available TODAY on these units (since there is presently no ADS-B weather option available)???
Boy am I glad I didn't just plunk down $850 for an XM receiver and an ethernet hub if it doesn't work! What gives, AFS?!?!?!

While we were redeveloping software for the AF-4500s units (the faster processor) there was a point where the traffic, weather, and mapping was not working. We have since been able to get those items working in the latest software revision.
Wow, you guys scared me there for a minute. Thanks for the response Trevor.

XM Weather works just fine on my 3400s's. (same software as the 4500s). No need to worry!

Now I'm confused. I have dual 4500s with the current software from the 4500 support page and weather and terrain do NOT work. (It is still the Jan version.) I was told this would be fixed with the next software update. Is there an update somewhere else I am missing?
It is fixed in the next release. I have a Beta release in which it works fine. Sorry, I should have been more clear about that. I do not know what the target date for the next formal release is, but my understanding is that it will be soon.
We should be releasing a new software release this week or next week. It will have everything working again.
