Thanks, that's a useful picture.
I will go now and check to see what message I get when powering up. I certainly don't recognise that "Jeppesen on board" image. Why do you have that if you are using PocketFMS data?
OK, I now realise that I have the same Jeppesen image but I never noticed it before!
Here are two images:
One shows my start-up screen with the working but outdated map data card installed and the other shows the screen with the latest data card installed (which doesn't work). I'm sure I must be doing something wrong but if I take a copy of the working card, delete the old map file and replace it with the new map file it doesn't work.
I have tried re-formatting the card to FAT32 but still no success.

I don't know how to make the pictures appear on this page, sorry.
So I have been running your map data for the majority of the morning here with no issues. You might have a problem with your SD card at this point. I also noticed that you have renamed the map to AF2MAPEU.AFM which is an unnecessary step.
Could you send me a screenshot of your file browser showing the files on the SD card.
The resolution of this post is to ensure the files that are located on the SD card.
Your card must contain only 3 .AFM files:
AF2MAPFM.AFM
AF2TER__.AFM
AF2VEC__.AFM
Where '__' is relating to your location:
US = UNITED_STATES
AF = AFRICA
AS = ASIA
EU = EUROPE
ME = MIDDLE EAST
NA = NORTH AMERICA
PA = PACIFIC
SA = SOUTH AMERICA
