The manual doesn't explicitly say the mapping software is required for XM weather- is it?. I have a Garmin 430W, and suspect the mapping data isn't shared with other devices- is that true? If the mapping software is required, what is the process to install the software- I purchase from my avionics shop who then provides the download key that I use on your site?
