What do we connect to the upper port connection on the 4500?

Can the 4500 feed NMEA 1083 to the 406 from serial #3? If not I’m considering an inexpensive gps antenna using 5 volts. Can I use the 5v source from the expansion port?

Not sure what Echo uses for data protocol. Can I split the output and feed the 4500 or do I need a dedicated GPS?

Have shunt used on Vans analog amp meter gage. Does it have the right value for my AFS 4500?

Just to verify, I'm removing a Insight-GEM 602 engine monitor and replacing with AFS 4500. GEM says they use Type "K for EGT and type "J" for CHT. The thermocouple will be compatible, correct?
