    73102 AF-GPS

I still have not got the GPS module 73102 to work. I have set the right port up for the port that I have wired it to, And chosen the GPS module from the menu. It should be GPS 2 for the moving map source. but when I change to GPS 2 for the map source, the map page, says NO GPS. Is there any way of testing to see if I have a defective GPS module 73102. I have good known ground and 12v power to the unit. Looking for any help.

Why did you connect it to 12V?

Hi Shawn, I am having the same problem, where my 4500 is not recognizing the AF-GPS. It is on Serial 4 and set up as gps source 2. Should the power be 12V or is it a step down v? The drawing seems to show the incorrect pinout orientation for the male plug, compared to the main cable drawing?

    Thanks,
    Frank

The EFIS provides regulated 12v. You are correct the drawing is not "from the back". The pin numbers are correct.

    73102 afs gps

OK, than I have it wired correctly. I have it on serial 4. Serial 4 set to 73102 AFS GPS, and GPS/NAV1 Data Source set to serial 4.

How do I trouble shoot from there?

    Thanks,
    Frank

Any chance you ordered the 2020 GPS?
Does the receive count up if you perform a Serial Port Loopback Test? CHECK -> MAINT -> ADMIN -> Hold CALIBRATION -> Admin Settings -> Diagnostics
