    AFS/Dynon ABS-B Receiver With 4500s

Can the AFS/Dynon ADS-B receiver be used with a 4500 EFIS? I only see reference to wiring it in the 5000 series manual.

No, the AF-5000 series is our only product that can parse the 74112 SV-ADSB-470 UAT Band Traffic and Weather Receiver.

Are there any plans for an ADS-B receiver module that supports dual-band receive capability?
I've just learned that TIS-B and ADS-R services are not provided unless the aircraft is in radar contact; for those of us who fly outside radar coverage regularly, this makes being able to receive air-to-air transmissions on both 978 and 1090 important, especially since many Out installs seem to be taking the 1090ES route (Dynon, Trig, Garmin GTX). I've been sketching some panel change plans to add the AFS/Dynon ES transponder and receiver units, but the lack of dual-band receive is a major stumbling block. Near as I can tell, there are no dual-band receive units currently compatible with AFS/Dynon displays.

Any receiver with the GDL-90 protocol can be used with the AF-4500 using Serial #1 or 3, and 115.2k baud. There are several companies working on solutions and we hope to see final products making it to market soon.

Only on #1 or #3? I thought all the serial ports were universal.

AF-3/4000s has #2 and #4 as polled USART interfaces which can't handle the faster baud rates consistently.

I guess I luck out. I just moved my ADS600-B from #3 on the PFD to #1 on the MFD to take load off the PFD per Rob's advice.

I'm still having difficulties with my ADS600-B. After three years it stop outputting anything on the display port. Loop back from the DB37 connector passes. No data is showing up on the transmit line from the ADS600-B. Unfortunately, NavWorx support is non-existent at the moment with all the other diversion going on with the FAA. I've decide to put troubleshooting on hold until after the holidays.
