Missed and Hold patterns ifd540 to afs5600

My course missed and hold patterns show on the ifd540 but do not transfer to afs5600 map page as the ifr waypoints do. Is there a setting I’m missing?

Holds require an SV-ARINC-429 and the latest v15 software.

I have the arinc and just upgraded to v15, are there settings to get missed and hold patterns to appear? They are not showing, I have an ifd540.

When did you upgrade to an SV-ARINC-429? In 2016 you had an AF-ARINC module.

Didn’t realize there was an AFS vs SV arinc, what is the performance difference, is it pin for pin replacement?

    The conversion will require rewiring.

    AF-ARINC
    • AF-3/4/5000 Compatible
    • Dedicated to a particular EFIS.
    • Connects to a serial port

    SV-ARINC-429 (AF-ACM-429 and AF-ACM-ECB has in internal SV-ARINC)
    • Processes hold information
    • AF-5000 R7 Compatible
    • Connects to the SV-NETWORK
    • Communicates with any AF-5000 R7 connected to the SV-NETWORK
    • Frees up two serial ports from AF-5000 EFIS (unless you want fuel flow information fed to the IFR Nav)

Is this true for hold processing on the GTN650 as well?

I’m interested, my sv hub is full right now will I need to add another port or will this free up or not need another port? (Edit) I have an extra port on afs comm.
I still want ff info to ifd540.

Looking at pin outs for sv arinc it looks like no tx-rx to efis which is where I have serial port 3 to afs arinc, how does this get configured? edit... I’m assuming arinc communicates thru network but how does ff info get to navigator?

The SV-ARINC module does not use any of the EFIS serial ports. If you want fuel flow to the navigator you will need to use one of the EFIS serial ports configured as EI FUEL to send the data to the IFD-540
