Thread: Autopilot localizer offset

I made an initial change to 32 after speaking to trutrak just to see if it made a difference and will be backing it off to see where the minimum setting should be.

I have been flying with gpss set at 25 and seems to be a good value for correct lateral needle centering and on course to runway for lpv approaches.

I tried the following settings and have acceptable performance on RNAV approaches. Have not tried ILS yet. GPSS settings seem to make the difference, rest might be just my personal preference on how the AP behaves.

    Setting by Manual my settings
    LAT ACT 4 16
    Bank Angle 1 2
    Micro Act 0 10
    GPSS Gain 16 26
    VERT ACT 9 5

    LAT ACT 16
    Bank Angle 2
    Micro Act 0 10

Alan, Report your finding please. Also, note that Micro Act is 10 not 0 10. My bad.

i had to go back to 0 on the micro activity as the plane nose was going up and down.the other settings seemed fine.
i had 2 approaches each with a cross wind of 20 kts
the cdi was dead on one and maybe half a bar off on the other.
i still lose altitude in a turn
