I fly with a single 5600 touch screen and a Garmin 750 nav/comm for my Nav 1, and the Garmin SL-30 for Nav 2. The auto pilot is a TruTrack built specifically for Advanced Flight back when the two companies had merged. The Garmin 750 provides Visual Approach procedures for all runways at recognized airports. When the VA is activated and the aircraft enters the proximity of the 3 mile straight in final the Vertical Deviation Indicator needle appears showing above the glide slope. If the VNAV is activated per the 80% rule, shouldn’t VDI be captured like an ILS approach?
