AFS 5600 Original Display with WiFi Adaptor

When I plug the Dynon WiFi Adapter into my AFS 5600 Original Display the WiFi Instrument Configuration option remains greyed out.

I am running the latest software (X12.08.10-MV16)

Many thanks for the prompt response.

Having a standard manual for both products (OS:1 and OS:5) with a diverging user interface and functionality is quite confusing.

Is the 5600 OS:5 a straight replacement for the OS:1 and does it support all of the legacy components (Engine Monitoring, ADAHRS etc.) ?

Yes, any screen can be upgraded to the OS:5 (CPU). The only change is CAN was available on BB:1-6 (Baseboard) where BB:7 now provides connections to the SV-Network. CAN is only used by turbine aircraft.

Use CHECK->ABOUT to find the OS: and BB: values.

What is the price for swapping out the CPU and does the existing screen need returning.to you in the USA as I am based in the UK or can the CPU be swapped by the user ?

It would need to come in for service, a full upgrade OS:5, BB:7, & Touchscreen. Give us a call at 503-263-0037 x 2 with your current OS, BB and SSD values for a proper quote.
