Adhars
My compass rose on 6600 is staying on 90 degrees. Replaced my ADHARS and it solved my problem for 3 flights. Now it’s doing the same but on 84 degrees. Auto pilot navigates fine. Attitude still works. I’ve shielded every wire in the vicinity of the ADHARS, still no luck. Any suggestions?

What is the serial number of your ADAHRS? You can check the serial number from the SET --> CAL --> Advanced SV Network menu.

Ser# is 002469. I also just heard about a software update that I will do today.
-
On loading software, instructions say hold 7&8 buttons for a few seconds. This does not work on 6600.

It looks like you are trying to install SkyView HDX software; that will not work with an AF-6600. AF-6600 and AF-5000T series displays share the same software releases, these are available at https://www.advancedflightsystems.co...re-updates.php
What software version is currently installed? This is the number after the SW: line on the CHECK --> ABOUT page.
Is the magnetic heading accurate on the ground but not in flight? If so, it's probably your transponder. Interference from transponder antenna cable can couple into the SV-ADAHRS cable and throw off the magnetic heading. If you put the transponder into standby and the problem goes away, you will need to relocate one of the cables.
If not the transponder, try turning off other circuits or pull breakers to see what other electrical devices may be causing the swing.
If you still find nothing, try this:
1) unplug your ADAHRS from the SV-Network
2) Power the screen and go to SET --> CAL --> Advanced SV Network menu
3) Press SCAN, the network scan will remove your ADAHRS from the network
4) Press BACK, go into Admin Settings menu
5) Select Administrator Mode option in the bottom right corner, enter code 1010
6) Go to Transfer Files menu in the top left corner
7) Go to Delete SV-NET Config option in the bottom right corner, press the DEL button
8) Shut off your electrical
9) Plug your SV-ADAHRS back in
10) Power back up, go to SET --> CAL --> Advanced SV-Network menu, press SCAN
11) Reboot when prompted and check for proper compass function
12) Attempt a magnetometer calibration if compass swings as normal
13) Re-do your zero pressure IAS offsets as required from the SET --> CAL --> Airspeed menu.
