Thread: Bearing Pointer for Standby Nav.

    Bearing Pointer for Standby Nav.

The user manual says the bearing pointer can be used to point to the standby VOR on the SL30 when MON is engaged (pushing the NAV button); however, I have not been able to get the bearing pointer to point to anything other than the active NAV (VOR). Am I missing something here?

What version of software are you using?

Using 80328 also, there seems to be a lack of former audible alerts, especially altitude when climbing. I get an alert descending, but many other alerts do not happen with this new version.

We just double checked the altitude bug warnings and they are working in our test units and in the RV-10, climbing and descending. The SL30 standby bearing pointer is also working in my RV-4 and RV-10.

Looks like a Standby bearing needle to me...

Make sure you do the following:

    1. EFIS bearing needle set to NAV1 or NAV2
    2. SL30 has a VOR in the Standby Freq window
    3. The SL30 standby nav freq is in monitor mode (press the nav button )
