    SV-GPS-250 to IFD-440 Connection

Hi - have a simple question, but could not find an answer to it in the installation manuals or online.

I am installing the SV-GPS-250 receiver in my RV-10, as well as an Avidyne IFD-440. I have also installed the Advanced Panel ACM, so do not have (and do not need) the ARINC-429 module.

The SV-GPS-250 output is 4 wires, while the IFD-440 GPS input is a female, BNC-type coaxial connector. Is there an adapter or plug that I need to connect these 2 together?

    Thanks,

    Tom

The GPS-250 is a standalone GPS receiver built into its antenna. It communicates only with our EFIS displays and cannot be used as an antenna for the IFD navigator.

The GPS-250 wires to the GPS labelled connector on the ACM to GPS / XPDR / ADSB harness, wiring is page 71 of the ACM and Advanced Panel Manual.

The IFD needs a dedicated GPS antenna, such as a Rami AV-801, wired via coax to the BNC GPS connector on the back of the IFD tray.
